I've been overweight most of my life - according to my mother it started when I was weaned and started drinking cows milk.
I've lost count of how many times I've joined Weight Watchers, lost weight and put it back on.You name it, I've tried it.
I took the big step on January 14th and had keyhole surgery. I've now got a lap band.
On December 20 2007 I weighed 187.7 kilograms.
On January 14 2008 I weighed 176.1 kilograms after 2 and a half weeks on Optifast.
I have a lot of weight to lose and I know it won't come off overnight. After all, it has taken me 34 years to put it on.
My milestones will be:
170 kilos - smashed it, 19 Feb 2008
160 kilos - smashed it, 4 April 2008
149 kilos - smashed it May 23rd 2008
140 kilos - gone August 14 2008
130 kilos
120 kilos
110 kilos
99 kilos
90 kilos
80 kilos
70 kilos
68 kilos - this is my ultimate goal.
I would be so excited if I could board the plane to Dublin on September 5 weighing 140 kilos. Less would be even better but I'm going to be realistic about this. Only 3kgs to go!!! Updated - I made it!!
